The municipality solicited bids for the cleaning and remote visual inspection of specified sections of its sanitary system. The project required the mobilization of crews and equipment to perform work in various locations throughout the city. Project parameters detailed a 90 day time frame for completion, public notification procedures, and restricted hours of work.

The client needed a contractor having capabilities exceeding basic cleaning and inspection requirements. The client’s need for the following scope of work:

  • 61,000 LF - Cleaning (Hydro-Jetting) & remote visual inspection (CCTV) of 8”, 10”, and 12” diameter PVC sanitary sewer lines
  • Visual inspection of 230+ sanitary manholes (including digital imaging)
  • Smoke testing of all inspected lines (with door to door public notification)
  • Identification & removal of pipe obstructions (roots, debris, etc.)
  • Clean multiple areas of heavy sand infiltration
  • PACP certified technicians
  • WinCan geographic information system software

Jamko completed the project in 46 days, approximately half of the allotted time frame, providing digital imaging files and recordings which the client was able to view using their Geographic Information System (GIS). Jamko technicians provided the client with efficient and technically sound field services with minimal inconvenience and disruption to local residents.
